Wow this was great.

FUCKING. THIS.

You tell that bitch like it is.

Eeehhhhhhh two wrongs do not make a right. I would congratulate the person in blue if they weren’t slut shaming, and being a sexist ass in the process. Yes, what she was doing was very wrong, however the blue person was also wrong in the manner in which they stood up for James.

Not really. They weren’t acting like a pious zealot. Their actions are totally justified. Additionally, they aren’t being sexist. They aren’t saying that Milly is bad for being a woman, only for being a bad person according to the creed that she is trying to demonize James with. In fact, in the whole of the rant, the person in blue is quite sedate and intelligible, where Milly much so fails to be.

”Stupid cow”, “massive bitch” and “fucking every guy in school”. Why not “asshole”? That’s something that she clearly is. Yes, it’s one thing to point out where in the bible she’s doing wrong but did he really have to point out how often she’s having sex? Did he really have to call her a bitch or call her a “stupid cow” and thus also being ableist? He’s also basically saying “go to hell” which is the exact same thing that she’s saying it. Granted, he’s saying it in defense of James… but those parts were rather unnecessary.

First, I don’t see “stupid cow” as being Ableist. I know I’ve never heard the term being used as such. And isn’t it showing that you assume that the person in blue is male? Now, I can’t speak to where you find blind bigotry and hypocrisy on the scales of the morally reprehensible, but I know that I find both sickening, especially in myself. Were Milly male instead of female, and the person in blue referred to him as an “unmitigated bastard” would that be sexist? Bastard is a clearly gender-defined term that not only insults the person but arguably their parentage. “Fucking nearly every guy in school” is not saying how often she’s had sex, nor who with, just pointing out that she herself is sinful by her own standards. In fact, of the whole tirade, naming a married math teacher is by far the worst part as it punishes someone is not directly related to the point at hand. Why is it wrong to mention that she has sex often? Isn’t that, given her lack of marriage, far more relevant to her attempt at being pious than her use of drugs? Play the odds and say she’s a Christian. Drugs are no where denounced in the bible. However, sex outside of marriage is punishable by execution, and clearly the more sinful act. The fact that the person in blue suggests she’s buying clothing and make-up with stolen money is arguably more sexist than calling her a “massive bitch” seeing as it assumes women need clothing and make-up instead of say, ammunition and time at a firing range. The Bible also preaches that one should do unto others as they should do unto one’s self. She calls James a faggot and fucked up, claiming that he is some unnaturally aberration. Comparatively, calling her a “stupid cow” and a “massive bitch” is tame. If I told you that you were not supposed to be how you were, that you were not supposed to be the person you are because a book says your not, be it a bible, a quran, the torah, the scriptures of buddhism, the traditions of shintoism, or the words of J.K. Rowling, isn’t that more insulting than calling you a bitch or bastard, gender depending? And the only reason for “gender depending” is the same reason for the words he and she, him and her, or his and hers, because they have clear gender identities, and a word of equal meaning on the other side of the coin. Never once does the person in blue call Milly a slut, a bimbo, a whore, a slag, or any other derogatory term that is associated with sexual promiscuity. The person in blue makes a value judgement about the characters of two people: Milly and James. They say that James is the “nicest guy [they] know” while Milly is a “massive bitch” and append “stupid cow” a moment later as a point of order for the fact that Milly tried to play pious and got hurt. I personally prefer a much more erudite approach to such situations, and will not deny that the person in blue didn’t need those lines, merely that they were not sexist. I would also argue that the fact that she has broken more religious laws by choice than James has is the person in blue’s point, and that Milly’s sexual activity is incredibly relevant, especially since the bible says ‘let he who is without sin cast the first stone.’
And frankly, given personal experience, I’m more willing to believe the person in blue is female. Women in my life at least have proven to be of greater moral fiber, and a more profound sense of justice in the world, and with more courage to display both to their best degree.
